Tobey Maguire (Spider-man)

I recevived Tobey Maguire autograph yesterday.
It was a wait of five months, plus much uncertainty whether I'll ever recevived his autograph...
But now that it finally arrived, I am very happy about it.
When the 1st Spider-man movie was in theatres, I was hooked after watching it!
Became a Spidey fans since then...
Enjoy reading spider-man comics and buying some Spider-man collectibles.
Also collects some magazines articles on Tobey.
Many people would probably know him as Spider-man, just as I was with the 1st Spider-man movie.
But apart from his role being the Spider-man, Tobey has portrayed his characters very well in "Sea Biscuits" and "Cider House Rules" too.

Jacelyn Tay and Qi YuWu

As I was coming down from the escalator at Takashimaya shopping centre.
I saw a crowd of people crowding around a comestic counter at level 1.
Then I heard someone talking... I recongized it immediately that it was the voice of Jacelyn Tay.
I told my friend and she thought I was joking.
We managed to squeeeeezeee into the crowd.
It was her and there was also Qi YuWu.
Both are also the artistes I like.
They were invitied for the Paul and Joe cometic.
I think spent S$50 and you be able to take pictures with them.




This is the first time I saw Jacelyn Tay and she has a very fair and glowing skin.
Although now that she's no longer an actress but a successful business woman.
Do hope that if possible, she could again act in some of the TV dramas.
I find her acting very good.

I've just recevived the Elizabeth Taylor autograph today and I'm so eagar to do a post on this.
She is considered to be one of my earliest english movie idol.
The movie Cleopatra has the greatest impact on me.
I was...very young then, 8? 9? of age when I watched Cleopatra.
The mysterious place and the beautiful queen...captivated me.
The scenes of the movies left me great impression.
Just like the Lost Horizon which took me years to find the right film on video.
I can't remember the title of the movie, so I go around asking for Egypt queen movie.
Needless to say, most of the video stores don't know what I want and some ended up referring me to the documentary section!!!
Anyway, I've already found the Cleopatra on VCD many years ago.
It was listed under classic film.
Come to think of it, I've not watched it for about 8 years now.
Maybe it's time to re-watch the movie and enjoy in all over again.
I would also like to wish her to be in good health always!

Have not finished reading all but I love the pictures inside.

Very happy to have it...then everything went back to a couple of years ago...
I was reading the news about a celebrity showing kindness and care to the less unfortunates.
She not only donated millions to different charities organisations, she actually went to different places to visit refugees, helping them.
Great admirations for her and I became a fan of hers.
I enjoy watching both Tomb Raider 1 and 2 movie as Angelina Jolie plays Lara Croft.

Kenny most popular role would be the R2D2 in Star Wars.
Also plays as an Ewok "Paploo" in Return of the Jedi.
He is 3.8" (Approx. 112cm) tall and could fit into R2D2.
Kenny plays in all six episodes of Star Wars (Episode III-Credits)
Among some of Kenny's films includes - Elephant Man (1980s), Time Bandits (1981), Labyrinth (1986).


I'm overjoyed to receive this autograph from Kenny Baker today.
My favourite characters from Star Wars is R2D2 and Darth Vader since I was a kid.
So, having this autograph from Mr Kenny means a lot to me.
It's very special and something I'll treasure very much.

Singapore Toy & Comic Convention

Oh Wow... I am so excited that we can have the First-ever Singapore Toy & Comic Convention.
To be held on 27-29 June 2008 at Suntec City Convention Hall 603(Sat& Sun open for Public - Free Admission).
Aha... it will naturally have TOYS!!! Also comics, animation, gaming, design, licensing and Cosplay.
Hope that this will be something really good and a successful event.

Most of the informations is probably up their website, so I will not go into details.
But there is one of my particular interest is the Walk of Fame .
A chance to meet people who are working behind the scences.
The Convention will have a meet-and-greet and autograph signing sessions with the invited artists and designers.

Toys Battle - Louis Koo

I was browsing around the Kinokuniya Bookstore on last Saturday at Takashimaya for Tin Toys related books and unexpectedly found a book that falls into one of my favourite catageory.
The author and collector, he is a very famous artiste in HongKong entertainment.
I've watched most of his TV dramas and movies.
My first thought was this guy probably visited some Star Wars museum or something...
But as I read on, it became clear that all the Star Wars collectibles in this book belongs to HIM!!!
Wow... very impressive indeed.
To have so many 1:1 life size Star Wars replicas and movie props.
Ranging from helmets, statues and even star wars vehicles!!!
It's all so COOL!
Must have cost a fortune! These are very expensive toys!

Not sure where is this place though but photo(in the book) have 7 Louis Koo, if I did count rightly!


Imagine coming home to see all these Star Wars. I think I would spent a lot of time at home too!
In this book, he wrote a brief description about Star Wars.
Along with some questions about the movies...etc.
Also how sometimes we can see life through these fiction stories...
I like the way he write, I can sensed the genuine thoughts.
I think this is the most important part about writting.

Louis Koo's visit to the Toy Museum by Mr. Teruhisa Kitahara.
Mr T. Kitahara one of the world's most famous tin toys collectors.
Inside the book, there are many pages dedicated about this musuem.


To think that it only took me two days to finish this book.
I'm pretty amazed! Because I've not fully completed reading any Chinese book in years!!!
I usually gave up reading Chinese books except for Comics.
But this book makes me want to read on and see all that's inside...
To see the treasure that's in this book!
Apart from Star Wars, Louis also covers a wide range of topics like Batman, Spider-man, X-Men, Transformers, Mickey Mouse, Deathnote, Tin Tin, Little Prince, Bear Brick, Tin toys ...etc.
Take little prince for example... I've read the book 2 times.
Frankly, I really can't get the meaning or message I'm supposed to get!!!
Maybe my mind is not pure or innocent enough.
Louis's writting about this book makes me understand better and I am going to get the Little Prince book to read it all over again!!!
Tin Tin is also one of my favourite comic character. I brought all TinTin's comics because I love the way the artiste drew. Everything was so lifelike.
Another thing worth mentioning is the VCD that comes with the book.
Inside is a mini story written by Louis, although not toy related but I like the tempo and feel of the whole story. It's quite touching too!
This is a good book for toy collectors or even for some leisure readings.
Buying this books is also a good cause because all the proceeds will be donate to the Unicef for Children.
