Avatar Action Figures

Updated Post on 2 March 2010

These three Avatar action figures I have now are the 3 3/4" figures.
Mattel has also released some Avatar action figures that are 4 1/4".
I saw them in a toy shop and it's very nice but the price here are not for my pockets!
Overall, I think Mattel has really make very good quality and high resemblance Avatar figures.
The packaging is well design but it's irreuglar shape is a bit difficult to store.
I've already opened up my cards/boxes so storing was not a problem for me.
One thing that I find very interesting is the description on the card/boxes.
This is a whole new world and most names and stuffs are new and sometimes, I don't even know which is which and what's the name of the creatures, characters...etc.
So with the description write out on the card, it is able to provide some brief informations and I enjoyed reading them.
I think is will be one toy line that I'll like to continue collecting it!
And last but not least, I would like to wish you all a Happy Chinese New Year 2010! May the year be filled with happiness and most importantly in good health too!

Visited the ones at United Square and Suntec City.
Both stores have Avatars on the shelfs!
They also carry two verisons on AMP suits there...

Avatar Vehicles

The AMP suit is my favourite vehicle in the Avatar.
The way this vehicle was control at ease in the movie was very cool!
Now, I am waiting for the Avatar DVD to be release so I can watch it one more time.
This AMP suit, personally I find it to be the best Avatar figure so far.
Highly detailed and articulated.
Looks good on display and also for play.

Avatar Creatures

I finally got my Avatar toys last weekend.
When I reached home, it was almost immediate...I opened up these toys.
I wanted to see how the creatures look inside these box.
Are they detail? The size? How's the colours? What's an i-Tag?...etc.
Overall, I'm very impressed with these toys series that Mattel make for Avatar.
Especially the AMP suit, which I'll post at the next post.
It's really fantastic!!
But now, I have one problem and that is my computer... it can't support the i-Tag requirements.
I'm not sure what is lacking but it's probably due to my computer age that I kept getting the error code from the programme at the i-tag website.
So I'll skip the part about i-Tags for the time being.
Back to the Avatar Creatures.
The Direhorse is more detailed out of the box as compared to the picture at the back of the packaged.
Sorry to say, but the picture on the back of the box packaging looks unreal and plastic.
The actual Direhorse figure looks more solid and realistic.
For example, the horseshoe, they are darker brown in colour instead of the box packaged that shows a lighter brown!
As for the Leonopteryx, it's really a giant!
I measured the front wing tips, one end to the other, it's about 51cm apart.
I didn't expect it's size and it can't fit into my small 40x23x25cm(LXBXH) display tank that I've prepared to use it for Avatar display.
The Leonopteryx is a good looking figure and it comes with a clear display stand.
