Transformers 2

Updated Post on 21 December 2009, 4 January 2010

Transformers 2 - Revenge of the Fallen
This time round, I didn't get so crazy like the last time when I first watched the Transformers 1.
Frankly, I didn't enjoy the Transformer 2 - Revenge of the Fallen movie like the first one.
But I do like the new characters introduced in Transformers 2, like Jetfire and Skids Mupflap.

This is my favourite in Transformers 2.
It can transform into 2 robots.
Took me quite some time find and was very happy to finally get it at the toy convention 2009 in Suntec City under the Toys R Us booth at S$26.90.
The price was initally marked up by many toy stores when first released to about S$38.
Some stores even bundle it with another Transformer...meaning have to buy of another Transformer, then you can get to buy this Ice-cream truck!!
But recently, I see many of these again in departmental stores like OG and Metro, which is good.
Hasbro have replenished the stocks and more people can have it now at S$26.90.

I was very glad to see a re-stocks for this Transformers recently.
I find this to be one of the best in the deluxe class Transformers.
Painting is metallic silver making this figure looks more solid looking.
Transform robot mode is very cool looking too.
Overall, I would give this Sideswipe Transformers figure a rating of 5 of 5.

Transformers Animated

Transformers animation was first run on december 2007 in USA.
It has now expanded to season 3 with a total of 42 episodes.
I've not watched any of the transformers anime but I like the graphics of these animated transformers on the collectibles.
I find them very cool.
So here's my little collection of Transformers Animation!

So please to check back on this post again.

Bumblebee Vs Barricade

Barricade converts to " Saleen S281 Police Car"

2007 OPTIMUS PRIME & 1984 OPTIMUS PRIME
Theme : Leader for the Ages - Autobot
Brand : Hasbro
Make : China
Year : 2007
Box Size : 30cm x 20 cm (LXH)
Transformers : 14cm

This is my favourite Transformer collection because it features a remake of 1984 optimus prime.
Great contrast can be seen between these two.
Getting a hold of this set was tough for me.
When I first saw it a Takashimaya Shopping toy department, I was pondering...buy or don't buy!!!
Because I've brought a lot of Transformers after watching the movie within one week.
My budget was burst!
Then I decided to NOT buy.
Went home...
But can't help thinking about it because it has an old 1984 optimus prime!
So, I told myself... Buy it and make it the last one!
Meaning not getting anymore Transformers at least for the next few months!
When I went back, it was SOLD!!!Too late.
Left with no choice, I searched the web in Singapore.
There was one person selling it but as stated by the seller, the box was slighly damaged.
I didn't want a damaged box...
For the next couple of days, I went in search for Optimus Prime.
I think I visited all the toy stores in Singapore.
No one has it.
I even wrote & sent a picture of the item to "Toys R Us" head office to check on this item
"No" was the reply, they didn't have this.
Hope of finding this seems faint. I gave up!
But two months later...
Guess what!!!
I found it at Toys R Us store!
There were many boxes, maybe 50 or so.
Happily, I got Optimus Prime back HOME! Yippes...

DELUXE CLASS

Box Size : 18cm x 30 cm (LXH)
Transformers : 14cm

JAZZ

Pontiac Solstice Car can transforms into Robot JAZZ.

Big Daddy

Bumblebee
Theme : Deluxe Class - Autobot
Year : 2007

There seems to be many different versions of Bumblebee in this series.
Not sure how many but I did saw one with weapons packed inside.
Buying this was like trading in stock market.
The usual price was S$26.90, selling at all departmental stores.
All was sold out.
Transformers were selling like hot cakes here in Singapore after the movie launched.
(Well, it got me crazy too!)
Finally, I found a shop that said they still have it at their warehouse.
I would be able to get it the next day.
The sales told me it was S$29.90.
Well, a three dollars increased was fine since I'm not able to get it anywhere else at the moment.
I told them to reserve one for me and I'll get it the next day.
The next morning, my phone rang.
The sales said their boss changed the price to S$32.90 and asked if I still want it.
Well, what can I say...
Told them to keep for me and I'll go get it in the afternoon.
It's not over yet!
When I reached the shop.
The price shoot to S$36.90.
I think stock market shares also don't change so fast!!!
Quite annoyed with them but at least the sales did keep it for me.
Deal closed! (Finally...)
One week later, the price shoot up to S$60 which I think it's crazy.
Many toy stores quoted this price.
The thing that pissed me off is that many kept quite a number of this Bumblebee in their stores.
They must have brought all and left the department stores empty.
Collectors would have to fork out more money than the item is really worth.
What madness!!!

Transformers toy scene in Singapore, August 2008 :
Recently, many of these Transformers collectibles prices has fallen to even less than 50% of the original price.
There are sales in most of the departmental stores.
Imagine my heartache when I saw a the Limited Edition Optimus Prime I paid for S$59.90 is now selling at only S$20.00.
I even saw a Deluxe Class - Bumblebee on sale for S$16.90!!!
Other smaller tranformers with price of S$16.90 is also reduced to S$8.00/S$5.00...
