This camera caught my interest with it's zoom lens power.
I needed a compact camera that I could do from micro to long zoom without having to change lens. It seemed to fit my ideal requirements. So I went to a camera store to test out the camera.
It was heavier than I had thought. The overall feel and built of this camera looks very good. Pleased with it's zoom power, I brought it without much hesitation.

The followings photographs was reduced in size by 70% (for my easy uploading). No colours, filters, touch up was done to the picture, so as to show the original colour of the photo results. Camera was set on Auto mode.
The above photo show a blue box I've mark up. It's approx where the bird (photo below) was located.
Using the zoom, I was able to capture the below image.
After sometime, I spotted another bird that flew into the field. Happy photo snapping.
Then I went over to Upper Thomson Road. One of my favourite place to see wild monkeys.
It was an overcast day but I managed to take a few pictures before it started to rain again.
I have not tried out the micro function yet. Hopefully in coming weekend, the weather would be good for photography.
The zoom clarity are super great. The camera's built in functions are yet to be explored. Overall, I would say I am very pleased with this little compact camera.

I just simply love the Owl. This is also the 1st time I was able to photograph a wild owl. It took me very long time to wait for the owl to finally wake up from the sleep. It was all worth the wait.
For a compact camera, I would say this camera is equipped with a super powerful zoom.
Very pleased with the colours and clarity of how the photographs turn out to be.
Overall, I would highly recommend this camera Canon SX60HS to those who like to travel light. Need a powerful zoom to photograph animals without the hassle of changing lens.
A compact suitable for all occassion and the wifi function is really cool.
Connect to handphone in instant (using Canon Connect app) and makes sharing of photo online an
easy task. When connected with handphone, the handphone can be use as a remote control to activate the camera shooting mode. The only cons I find is that the auto tracking of the long zoom doesn't react very fast and it might take a while to get use to it. This aside, I am very impressed with the capabilities of this compact camera.
My rating of the camera : 4.5 of 5 stars
