Not much of informations can be found about Klik candy dispenser.

LOST in Posting

Have you ever stared at the computer for hours thinking what to post on your site?
And nothing much actually comes about???
Well, that's exactly what I was doing for the entire evening.
I was thinking of doing some stuffs about Star Wars since I've not written anything for so long about my this crazy collecting hobby.
But somehow this didn't make it as I am so lazy to take out the toys to photograph them...

I was out for some photo shooting and since I was near to Raffles City, I decided to visit this church.
This is my very first visit in this Church.
I've always like this church very much but has never enter it.
To my suprised, there are free guided tours around the church to explain about the history of the church.
Luckily, a tour just got started and I joined in the group.
Inside the church, many helpers were busy decorating the church with flowers.
The entire place is very well kept.

The Lectern : During worship services, bible passages are read from the Lectern. This Lectern is made in the shape of an eagle perched on a globe to represent God's word is to be proclaim to the world.


The East Windows & Lord's Table : In the east windows, the centre light is Sir Stamford Raffles dedicated to him in 1861, the north light is Sir John Crawford, Governor of Singapore (1823-1826) and the South Light is Maj, Gen. William Butterworth, Governor (1843-1855).

Christians would gather around the Lord's Table to eat the bread and drink the wine.


The lady in the black T-shirt and jeans was giving a guided tour of this church. She is very polite and all smiles. It was a pleasant visit with much knowledge gained about the church.

HongKong MissOut!

Me & Hong Kong...
I had actually wanted to visit Hong Kong this March but cancelled it because there was some flu virus going on.
Funny thing about me is that everytime I want to visit Hong Kong, somehow or another, somehting would happen and I would never be able to travel there...

First time I wanted to visit HK, I ended up booking for a trip to Maldives.

2nd time, I booked for a 8 days travel to HongKong with a BIG local travel agency at the Suntec City travel fair. Packed my stuffs, 3 days before departure, I called the agency to get my tickets, they then only told me that they were unable to get me my hotel. Said it was fully booked. How irresponsible! It's my first and last time to deal with this agency!

3rd time, a friend recommended an agency. I went there, all was well. Got all the informations I need and the service was good. So, the next day, I brought my passport & money to book for the trip! The lady at the agency was off from work. Aruggghhh...no choice, I'll went back 2 days later. Waited outside the agency as the lady was serving some customers. I decided to walk around the building first but when I came back half an hour later, the agency was closed for the day... All the holiday's moods gone. I decided I didn't want to go anymore!

4th time, this was what I've mentioned at the top of my post... Bird flu! So didn't make it this March !!!

I wonder should I try one more time? Or should I simply just chose another country for a holiday!Aha... whatever it is, I just hope that the next time I plan to visit Hong Kong, all will be well & smooth...

I was finally able to visit Hong Kong last month, end of March for 5 days.
I'm still in the midst of sorting out my photographs before I could post any here.
This trip was decided in a rush, about 2 weeks before the departure.
I would say it was a good and fun trip overall.
The weather was rather misty and cold but no rain while I was there.
Except that I was sick from day 1 to the last day of the trip!
I vomitted most badly on the 2nd day.... yucks!
Even till now, I'm still feeling unwell due to gastric, giddy and a little of breathless feeling...
But on the bright side, I got to see the Panda bears and visit Disneyland.
And I finally make it there! LOL!

Elmo The Cockatiel

These are Elmo's latest photographs.
Elmo was quite uneasy taking pictures today.
But after some coaxing plus praising!
Elmo is a happy bird!







Facts About Cockatiel
Scientific name : Nymphics Hollandicus
Lifespan : 10 - 15 years

Their name were derived from Dutch word "Kakatielje" meaning "Little Cockatoo".
Australia is the native home for Cockatiels. In 1894, Australia banned exportation of all native birds.
Hence, our pet cockatiels are all bred domestically!
The Lutino cockatiel is most affected by the genetic defects giving them balding on the head.

Cockatiels wings need to be trim every 4 - 6 months. Their nails also need some trimming.

Breeding :Ideal breeding age is 18 months. A clutch consists of 4-5 eggs, each size is approx. of one's thumbnail. Eggs are laid once every two days and incubated for about 19 days. Hatchlings are weaned in 4 weeks. Puberty is reached around 9 months. Adulthood is reached around 15 months.

Sexing : Only after the 1st molt (aprrox. 6 - 9 months of age) , the adult colouring will show.
For normal gray cockatiels : Males have bright yellow face. Female has grey face with traces of pale yellow.
After the molt, the male's tail feathers will be solid gray color & the female will remain patterned.
Food that can Kill your cockatiel : Alcohol, avocado or chocolate.

Has Elmo grown?

Elmo favourite pastime - Standing by the windows and watch people and cars goes by!
Sometimes, she will also just fell asleep standing in the windows grilles!





Yesterday, Elmo went for her 2nd wing clippings.
Then I took her for a one day tour around Singapore!
Aha...we simply went to some Neighbourhood places, Orchard and Raffles Place.
I noticed that Elmo really likes to look around and very curious about her surroundings.
Some strangers will pat her on her back.
Some says she's cute.
A funny thing happened.
I was in the carpark and had Elmo standing on top of her transportation cage.
A guy came by my car and asked me "Is that bird a real bird?"
As Elmo was just standing there, not moving around... I laughed!
"No...it's real" I replied!
By the time I got home at about 8 plus... she was very sleepy.
She rested and was quiet for about an hour but started to jump around her cage afterwards.
Oh boy...birds are really active!

Elmo flew out of my windows this afternoon.
He flew out and up and in just a few seconds...out of sight!

Testing Nikon D60 DSLR at the Zoo

Went to the Singapore Zoo, 2 days back, a Wednesday afternoon.
It was a very dark & cloudy day.
But still I went ahead with my plan of going to the zoo!
After about 1.30pm, it was raining all the way till I left the place at 6pm.
Not a good day for photography I would say!
Well, I can only blame myself because I simply cannot wait any longer to get to the zoo to try out my Nikon D60.
A typical impatient Aries I am!!!
It was actually also quite messy that day as I was carrying a Water bottle, Camera Bag, Tripod Stand, Umbrella & holding a camera.
Plus I was soaking wet from head to toe for hours.


For these pictures you see here, I am using the VR 55-200mm lens on a Nikon D60.
No additional speedlight was used!
(Opps...That's because I don't own one. Hee hee...)
My camera mode was set to either Auto or Portrait.
I usually don't fumble around with the camera controls when taking pictures of animals...
Animals don't wait!

As for the D60 camera, I would consider it to be a very handy and good DSLR.
There's a couple of reasons :
1) I simply love the light weight and size.
2) The VR function (Vibration Reduction).
3) Quick start-up(On/Off)
4) Able to focus on animals in dim or low light conditions.


There is one problem I face using the D60 at the zoo.
Animals like Tigers, Lions, Cats...etc.
Their photographs turned out to have "empty eyes." See these 2 photos!


Something like the red eye effect on humans except that theirs turned out luminous.
Some says it's due to the flash???
Some says it's due to the specific type of animals eye???
Previously, when I was using the Nikon F65 SLR (negative films), zoom lens of 300mm, nothing like this has happened.
Still trying to find out what happened!

Nikon D60 DSLR

Finally, I've gotten my very first DSLR camera.
My old F65 SLR has always provided me with many joys in photography.
So, when I was considering for a DSLR, my vote naturally goes to a Nikon.
Brought this on the 1st day of IT show at Suntec City.
The fair would last till this Sunday.
Considering that they are selling a 80-200mm VR lens at S$199.00 when you buy a D60(S$1188.00).
I think it's quite a good buy plus all the goodies you see in the picture (Nikon Bag, Nikon Stand, Nikon Lens Cleaning Pen, 2GB SD, Micro Cloth, LCD Protector & Card Reader).
Plus, managed to get the sales to give me an addtional 2GB SD card & battery! Hee Hee.
One more important thing to get before shooting, I'll need to buy filter for the lens.
Two to be exact. One for each lens.
Recommended by my friend to use the 52mm Hoya Mulit-Coated Filter.
Got it today at S$18.00 each.
I have not yet use the camera but tried to fiddle over the controls.
One function about the camera which I like is that the LCD will turn off when one look into the viewfinder.
Also another interesting aspect of the camera is that it allows us to do something like a movie animation kind of thing. Called "stop motion movie" function.
Probably, I'll go for a photo shoot sometime next week.
Make a guess where I'll go?
It's be the Singapore Zoo.

Blood Splattered!

When I got home after dinner just now, I was shocked to see blood all over Elmo's cage.
I blinked my eyes...
I thought my eyes were blur or maybe the cage is dirty...
Looked again and it smelled blood.
Elmo was standing a one corner, his back was partially stained with blood.
Tail feathers in a mess...
Elmo looks tired but were looking my way.
At least still alert.
Quickly, I clear out his cage.
Spotted 2 broken feathers.
I suspected Elmo's feathers were caught on the metal chains I used to chain the cuttlebone.
The chain was stucked between the wire mesh flooring.
Even I had a hard time taking it out.
Elmo must have somehow got stuck in between.
Poor thing!
Such a small little bird and lose so much blood.
I wonder if he'll be ok...
Arugh...so sad!
