Star Wars Action Figures - Clone Wars

Star Wars - Clone Wars Action Figures
I am glad that I was able to get these Clone Wars Action Figures that has the "1st day of issue" sticker on it. The Star Wars logo on card is also printed in shiny metallic blue.
Although my feets are still a little painful from the walking around searching for these on 26 July 08...I still think it's worth it!
I started collecting Star Wars only from year 2006, like a delay timer and started when all the 6 epsiodes were finished...all the midnight events.... Gone!!!
These set of Action Figures will be very special to me because I've finally got something before the Movie's out...Got to go to a midnight launch, get the AF on the 1st day...etc.
As a Star Wars fan it's something like a adventure!

This figure is priced the same price as the Commander Fox above.
But worse!!! Don't even have a clamshell case!
I'm really very displeased with all the price hikes.
Anyway, I think I'll probably quit this Hasbro collecting hobby soon.
Prices are just getting more and more ridiculous here in Singapore.

24 hours Star Wars RUSH

The day has finally arrived!
26th July 2008 - Star Wars Clone Wars Toys Launch!
It's now 11.37pm and I have just settle down back home about an hour ago!
Whole body ache! Especially leg pain!
Visited a lot of Singapore departmental stores today.
Managed to find all the figures I was looking for including some unexpected finds!
Now to recap my 24 hour Star Wars toy trip.
"24 hours of a Star Wars Fans"

Reached Forum mall shopping centre at about 11.15pm, Friday 25th July 2008.
There was some activity on stage including lucky draws of some Star Wars collectibles to be given away.
Immediately, I took a fast snap shots of the 501st legion and quickly proceeded to join in the queue.


Toys R Us - Rule, Regulations and Promotions notice!


1st Stage - Basement level queue.
Everyone needs to get a no. tag before entering the lift in a group of about 8 people each time.


Clone Wars posters were hung up inside the shopping centre.


Not long, I spotted Vader coming and entering the lift!
By the time I take out my camera...
...er...at least I got a his back view!LOL!


Stage 2 - Up the Lift! Queue at 3rd Storey...Getting ready to dash into the store!
We were all ushered up to the lift to reached TRU systematically.
To get ready for the 12 midnight launch on 26 July 2008.
I can hear from the manager at basement shouting into the walkie talkie "Get everyone up by 12 midnight...Quickly..."
They really managed to get everyone up by 12!Incredible!


Count down to Clone Wars timer board.
I think TRU did a very good job on this event.
No mess up and everything was in a good order!
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1...RUN!!!

My disappointment is the the BMF, priced too expensive.
At least for me, it is! It is priced at S$339.90.
The AT-TE packaing is impressive looking.
Couldn't find the Clone Trooper helmet, only have the Darth Vader voice changer.
I brought some action figures and 1 clone wars vehicle.
Especially glad that I've found the Ewok AF, including many AF with the 1st day of issue sticker and shiny foil Star Wars logo.


Basement's all clear out!
I left the place at about 1 am.

Stuffs I brought at the TRU Clone Wars Midnight Launch.
I got a free holographic General Grievious and a poster for purchases above S$150.00.

Stuff I brought later in other departmental stores.
Completed the Action Figures that I've wanted to find.
Plus, very happy to find the Mighty Muggs and Star Wars vehicles too.
My sum up total purchases for this 24 hours Star Wars rush is S$410.00.
I'll post their individual photos later in their respective posts.


This is also the first time seeing so many Star Wars collectors hunting on the same day.
Some are also quite friendly and strangers would come and strike up conversations.
Chat about their collections, what they or you are looking for...etc.
Letting one another know where got this or there got what!!! Hee hee...
I would say I really enjoy the midnight launch and go crazy around Singapore looking for the AF I want. Aha...LOL!

Owning a vintage 12" star wars would be a dream come true but sadly, I would say, the price is simply out of my reached.

Star Wars - Clone Wars stuffs

I'm actually quite excited over the midnight launched for Clone Wars toys in Toys R Us nationwide.
It will be my very first experience for a Star Wars midnight event.
So, I'm looking forward to it everyday and now it's only 3 days away...
I hope I'll be able to see the 2.5ft Big Millenium Falcon (BMF) on the shelves that night.
And hopefully the price of it will not be too high, so that most people can afford it in times like these.
The Star Wars mania in me says "Buy it!Buy it! It's the biggest Star Wars Hasbro toy ever!"
"It's your favourite Star Wars spaceship."
"It's got lights like the movie's Millenium Falcon!"
"It can fit in 18 Star Wars Action Figures!"
... ... ... ...
The other side of me tells me : "You've already got a 1.5ft sized MF and a galactic heroes MF, it doesn't really make any difference if you buy one more!"
"Please save some money for rainy days !"
"Don't buy now! Might ended up as SALE item sometime later!"
"You have NO space at home for such a BIG spaceship!"
Confusing, huh?
....LOL at myself...I'm getting headaches over a TOY! AHA...haaaaaaaa

And well, as for the movie, frankly speaking, seeing the movie trailer didn't really make me like the movie. But I still do have high expectation and anticipation for a Star Wars animation film.
So I really can't comment anything now because the movie's not even out yet.
As a Star Wars fans, I naturally hope that this will be another of George Lucas sell-out blockbuster!!

About Toys R Us - Clone Wars Midnight Event :
26th July 2008 at the storke of midnight (12.01am of 26th July 2008).
More than 225 Toys R Us stores are included round the world.
Two biggest Toys R Us events held will be at Times Square and Mission Bay in San Diego.
There will be a "Clone Costume Contest" encouraged fans to dress as clone characters at these two places.
In US - Free Limited Edition Holographic General Grievous Figure with any Star Wars action figure/role-play purchase of more than $30.00!
FREE Limited Edition Clone Wars Poster with any LEGO Clone Wars product purchase of $30 or more.
Not sure about other country, in Singapore we have to purchase S$150.00 to get a Grievous and S$30.00 to get the poster.
There is also a "Galactic Star Wars Sweepstakes" for a chance to win a "Life Size Figure" from Star Wars Clone Wars. It's so COOL! But open only to Residents of United States and who are 13 years of age w/ active e-mail account...etc.

I'm just back from watching the Clone Wars.
I would say if this is NOT an animated movie, it would really be a very good one then!
The story and the editing is very good.
The thing I really don't like about the Clone Wars movie is the hair on Obi-Wan and Anakin.
The thick beard on Obi Wan is much worse...
There's no life in their hairs. It just looks like some sort of papercut...flat and stick there with tons of hard hair gels!
U see them fighting, running, jumping all over the place, but the hair is exactly the same!
No movements... I wonder why?
As for the Hasbro Big Millenium Falcon, if anyone is wondering whether I've brought it, the answer is Nope! I am turn-off by the price of S$339.000.

Mini Facts about Panda-Z :
Panda-Z is a Japanese Anime TV series.
Created by Shuichi Oshida in 1997.
Director is Mamoru Kanbe.
A total of 30 episodes anime that run on TV in 2004.
Main character is Pan-Taron who lives in a place call "Robonimal Island".
This comedy anime main character is "None of the characters are voiced, meaning no dialogue and the entire anime is presented with sound effects and movements only.

Who's Who in the anime of Panda-Z :
Pan-Taron - A super deformed robotic panda, who is the pilot of Panda-Z mecha. Along with his friends, they fight the evil Skullpander.
Dr Panji - Taron's grandfather and also the director of the laboratory. He is very kind and loves his grandson very much.
Rabina - A cheerful and kind girl who's dream is to become a nurse. She is a pink robot rabbit with angel wings.
Denwan - Leader of Taron's group of friends.
Eteckee - A smart scholar dreaming to become a researcher at Panda-Z lab.
Hamu Ichiro, Hamu Jiro - Mechanics and pilot the ham gears, repair giant robots..etc.
Zoutank - A green robot that is large enough to ride other Robonimals.
Firebear - A fire fighter.
Rescue Bear 01 and 02 - Identical bear robots except that one is red, the other is wearing blue.
Medical Bear : He is a doctor and Rabina is his nurse.
Skullpander - Leader of Warunimals. Bad guy!
Mougyu - Looks like cow. Often lost the battle because his remote controls breaks.
Dr. Jangarly - His head shows a computer brain. When he smokes, the smokes will fill his dome.
Rubyraby - A rabbit princess and were thought to have taken a liking for Panda-Z
Kokekkou - Giant robot rooster.
Warunimal Soldier - Indentical masked soldiers.
Bokkuma - with some panda features.
Wolgar - A robot wolf. Normal light grey but colour turns red under a full moon.

I found this among a mess of other keychains in a comics shop.
There's only one left of this Panda Z.
Sure looking forward to seeing more Panda Z type of collectibles. I find them rather cute!

Star Wars Helmets

I hope you are looking into this post not for 1:1 Star Wars helmets because I do not own any.
Although, owning a 1:1 Star Wars helmets is included in my Wish List.
I've never really save up enough to buy a 1:1 helmet yet.
Too many other toys distractions!
But someday, I will have at least one Clone Trooper helmet! Must strike lottery first! Ha ha haaaa...
Think of the helmet also feel so happy! How silly of me!
Ok, now back to this post, this only one shown here is my recent purchase...

Darth Vader - Scaled Replica w/ electronics
Brand : Master Replicas
Year : 2007
Height of Vader Helmet : 21cm


This helmet is very well made.
Many details included on the inner helmet.
The only thing I don't like is the packaging.
So the first thing I did when I brought this home was to take it out of the box.
Put in the batteries and test the electronics too!
It has a built in movement sensor, so whenever you walk pass, it'll say something.
I think it the original James Earl's voice...
Now whenever I walked into my room, my eyes will automatically zoom in at this Darth Vader. Aha... can't blame a Vader's fans, right?

Blogging just another day!



I usually don't write too much about myself or what I do!
Simply because I don't think anyone would be interested!
I'm still sticking my personal stuff to an old little diary.
Does anyone still have the habit of writting a diary book?
If you've noticed or been reading, I'm always talking about toys!
I feel it's much more comfortable writting something leisurely.
Anyway, it was created in the first place as a blog about toys.
It's now about 6pm. Going out soon for dinner!
How time files...
I've spent my entire afternoon reading other's blogs.
Leaving comments when I stumbled upon blogs I like.
Recently, I found some blogs from our local TV stars.
Some are quite interesting and it also gave us an opporunity to know more about the stars.
I think it is also good for them to have a place to express themselves.
A place for them to interact with their fans.
To let fans know first hand about their feelings and thoughts...etc.
Better than to have some newspapers create a big woo-ha of something irrelevant or FAKE news.
Blogging could well be a de-stressing place for them.
Does blogging makes you less stress? Or more stress?

Blogging sometimes does makes me less stressful.

A preview of my favourite Star Wars Character - Darth Vader!
The Legacy Collection and Clone Wars series will be officially launched on 26th July 2008 midnight in Singapore.

A toy with a sad and touching true story.
R2-KT was created in honor of a little girl called "Katie Johnson"
Katie passed away from brain cancer on 9th August 2005 when she was only seven!
Her father - Albin Johnson is the founder of 501st Legion.
Katie's sister, Aille thought it would be great to have a driod to watch over her sister while she underwent treatments.
So the R2 Builders Club made a unique R2 specially for Katie and name it "KT".
Also through the Make a Wish foundation, Katie's wish to visit Disney World was also granted.

Star Wars Concept Action Figures by Ralph McQuarrie
These action figures are quite difficult to find them in department stores.
Or maybe it was just my luck...Signed!
Mostly Chewbacca and StarKiller Hero are the leftovers!
I've got most of these at toy's stores at about 30% more of the original price.
Boba Fett and Stormtrooper's prices are both shooting up by 50% or more now.
Sometimes, I really wonder... MUST TOYS BE SO EXPENSIVE???
I like the concept Boba Fett the best.
It is also the figure that took me the longest time to find it. But it's worth it!

A lot of people brought these Giant To-Fu at the convention, it's really hard not to see these TO-FU! I think it's one of the best sellers there!

I just brought a small To-Fu at the convention for him to sign on.
This is my Bubble-Gum TO-FU!
He personalized the top and back of the TO-FU...It is soooooo cute!

Pete Fowler - Artist and Illustrator
Creators of Monsterism and Playbeast
Born : 1969

The monsters Mr. Pete Fowler creates all reside in a place call "Monsterism Island".
He also invents stories for his characters, each with a specific traits of "monsterism"!
The monsters toy collectibles were rather special, unlike most toys on the market.
It's a pity I couldn't get any of his toys. The characters I like were all sold out on the 2nd when I went back! Arughh...! But I managed to get his autograph on a poster and event guide!

Gary Erskine (Comics Artist)


Mr Gary Erskine
Born : 28 October 1968
Birthplace : Scotland

Some of his comics works includes Knights of Pendragon, Warheads, Star Wars X-wings, Transformers, Judge Dredd, Hellblazer...list goes on!
Meeting Mr Gary Erskine at the Singapore Toy Covention was a pleasure.
He left me with great impressions!
He's down to earth, very friendly and polite with everyone.
Also Gary Erskine would signed the poster, roll it up and gave it back to his fans!
It was a great gesture!
I brought a copy of his Dan Dare and I do admire his art work!
Cheers to Gary!!!

Star Wars Mighty Muggs

Previously I've some of these Star Wars Mighty Muggs posted together with Star Wars Funko Bobble Heads and Chubby on 15 May 2008.
Since my collection on these Mighty Mugss have grown, I decided to give them a single post!

Star Wars Mighty Muggs

Figure Size : 15 cm

A newly release Star Wars collectibles.
Very creative and unique.
Something different from the usual kind of characters.
The prices for some of these figures has gone up by about 30% more than original price at toy stores.
Especially, Storm trooper which is extremely hard to find!
Oh... I must work hard to find one soon!!!
Some toy stores even packed them into a pack of 4 different characters.
You'll probably ended up with 2 good ones and 2 bad ones.
Meaning 2 very likable characters and 2 characters that are not so popular among Star Wars fans.
Anyway, I don't think these actually comes in a series of 4!!!
So I only brought these each separately.
But it'll take me much more time to hunt for the ones I want!

Mario Party Mini PEZ


Just when I was giving up hope of finding Japanese Mini PEZ in Singapore...
Even tried many unsuccessful bids at ebay on Mini PEZ!
Had finally found it today! Aha...call for celebration!!!
Moreover, it's a set from my favourite DS characters-Mario Party!
We have here - Mario, Yoshi, Toad, Donkey Kong and Wario.
These Japanese PEZ are dispensed from those capsule machine that you slot money in and out comes a plastic ball with unknown surprises in it!
This is also my first time seeing a Japanese PEZ.
I've thought it to be smaller.
But it's about 6-7cm each.
Bigger than I've imagine and it's really adorable!
In fact the character head is the same size as a regular PEZ except that their PEZ stem is half in height of a normal PEZ.
Do you think these are cute?




Certainly these few guys deserve a PEZ portrait on their own! SMILE!

This was the LEGO I've been eyeing on since it's first launched in August.
To me, I find the price is slightly on the high side in Singapore for a Star Wars LEGO playset of this approx. size.
The price factor was what caused me to hold back getting this...
Anyway, since I've already brought it now, no use heartpain anymore!
Must think only of the good side!
I've yet seen the actual model of this LEGO set on display but the box art has already captured my heart. The AT-TE walker looked solid!
Apart from the AT-TE walker, I also find LEGO to have included Jabba's son - Rotta figure to be a great suprised. It's really cute.
