PEZ just arrival !

34 PEZ has arrive today from US. I'm so excited about this package because I've not own any US pez.
In Singapore, the importer import from europe. So I've never seen a PEZ in a bag.
The candy have a lots of varieties too and I am so tempted to eat it.

The US package allows me to see the PEZ better in a bag but you have to take some time to turn the PEZ back to face the front. Since it's all in plastic, it's waterproof !!
As for the European version with the cardboard behind and a fixed PEZ look in front, you cannot see the back of the PEZ. Both are nice.
I'm fine with either of the packaging. Does not really matters to me as long as I have the PEZ I want.
I've ordered a McSquizzy from the Open Season too althought it was different from my other 3 open season european PEZ.
I love the Muppets & Sesame Street sets.
Will take more pictures of these sets in future.

Elvis and Star Wars arrived last week from the US too. This is my first ordered PEZ. The star wars was loose, so I use BlueTacks to stick them on my shelves. Ain't they cute ?

ELVIS PEZ

One of the most beautiful PEZ I've ever seen.
This Elvis gift set comes with a CD.
It is also considered a limited edition of 400,000 !!! (Which I think it's way too much!!)
I've ordered it from the US since it seemed that the importer in Singapore didn't bring in this.
If you like Elvis or PEZ, I think this is really something worth collecting.

This post is updated on 28 March 2008 with replacement of new pictures.

For The Love of ELVIS

I was shopping at Carrefour in 2003 and came across a VCD. Titled : Elvis 56.
I know who Elvis was but I've never really listen to any of his songs or watched his movies.
Out of curiosity, I brought the VCD.
I've expected to see just a singer singing and in 1950s, would probably be just standing there singing. Like a woodblock.
But Elvis was different and I still think he's the one and only.
There's something magical about him.
His voice, moves and music was unique.
The songs he sang seems ALIVE .
That was what attracted me.
From that day onwards, Elvis became the Idol of my life.
There are so many published books about Elvis that I don't think anyone knows exactly how many are there.
Elvis is just about everywhere.
Elvis mechandised are countless.
There is Cookie Jar, Doormat, Lunchbox, Pens, Guitar…. Just about anything.
It was really difficult to compile something complete.
Or maybe even impossible,as the data is ever increasing with all the Elvis activities going on.
I was lucky to be able to attend an Elvis concert in Singapore, August 2004.
It was a very special experience for me.

Sometimes, reading Elvis books kind of makes me feel a little sad.
Felt that he was lonely. Even though he was always surrounded by people.
I really don't know. I'm not there so I can't comment.
Only people with him most knows the best.
I won't be writing anything about his last day, it's too sad.
Everytime I read about Elvis last few final hours, I can't help feeling down.
But there are times I felt motivated by Elvis too.
It's his music. His songs.
So much energy and life in his songs.
His songs will just perk anyone up.
It's his songs that attracts a large crowd of fans in the world today.
The King lives in our heart
And will always be …………

8 Tags

I've been tagged by wildlivealive and I'm new to this but it seems pretty interesting.
This project calls for sharing 8 personal facts about myself, then tagging 8 other bloggers to do the same. Here are the rules, which were passed to me:
-Each player must post these rules first.
-Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
-People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
-At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
-Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

8 Things about me !
1) I love toys and collecting stuffs. Then again, maybe I just like buying things.
2) Aquarium Fish Keeping was my longest hobby. When I was very young, maybe about 3 years old. I would keep 2 goldfish or guppies in a little plastic tank and walked around the neighbourhood with it !
3) Like to listen to vinyl records. It gives me a feel of the past. I would often think these records used to belong to who. Music relaxed me.
4) I hate people who gave their personal love letters away for others to read.
5) When I was in Secondary School, I accidently crashed a classroom glass door out of anger and resulting in 8 stitches and 5 injections on my right hand. The scar is still there, I doubt it will ever be gone.
6) Finding a right job and doing a good job.
7) I've once fell deeply in love with one person which I wished I didn't.
8) Looking for a very RICH godmother or godfather.

Target Tags for 8 people : (5 more to go)

TRANSFORMERS

Updated Post on 11 February 2009

I was bored. Actually, I was out looking for some PEZ today.
Ended up watching a movie "Transfomers" at Plaza Singapura Golden Village.
Didn't have much expectations for this movie but was caught by surprised !
I love this movie.
The futuristic looks on the Transfomers and they way they transformed are COOL !
After the movie, I went straight to look for the toys.

Wanted to buy the bigger ones but I couldn't find Bumble Bee or Optimus Prime.
Sold out, I guessed.
Hope the stocks will be replenised soon.
Tomorrow,I'll be out for Transfomers hunting !!!

Eating Fish Alive !

I was watching the 10 o'clock news today and was SHOCKED to see that there is actually a resturant in Taiwan that served "LIVE" fish on the table !!!!
How could they do this !! My anger rose.
The fish body was being put in the pan of HOT BOILING Oil,
fish head was covered with a towel.
Afterwhich, it was put on a plate, sauce over the fish and served alive.
On the table, the fish was still seen breathing.
Mouth opening and closed.
It was reported that the fish can last about another half hour !!!
The customers was taking the flesh of the fish out bit by bit and into their mouths. I want to PUKE !
Just how could they eat it ! Don't they know how painful the fish was?
This is animal ill treatment, cruelty to animals......
This dish ought to be banned. The newsreporter said that the local authority had requested this restaurant to stop this dish but I don't know if it was STOPPED !! Anyone knows ?
It should not be a request, it should be a DEMAND ! Ban it !
There are many ways to make money, everyone also wants to make money but not like this please.....

Finally...My internet works !

I was not able to serve the net since last Saturday when I changed my dial-up plan to broadband. Only then I realise how important the internet was to me. Felt something was missing, not be able to access my blog or e-mails. Guess I am addicted to the net. Imagine all the trouble trying to get connect. Bring the modem here and there. Asked the service provider, asked the modem company, call the technical help line. To say the truth, I was losing my patient. Finally, they sent a technical guy down to fix the problem, it was due to some missing link in their network ........Argh,,,,,, whatever !! I'm Back !!!
Will be adding a section for Elvis soon. Still trying to do more research and take pictures of my Elvis collectibles. Do come back later if you like Elvis. Meanwhile, I'm back to surfing again........
